I'm kind of sporadic in my blog posts.
This month I'm going to try something new. I'm going to tell you my input on three new-to-me GF items. One is something I love and highly suggest buying, one is something I like and you might be interested in purchasing, and one is a leave it- don't spend your money on it.
My "love it" for this month are Nabiscos' new White Cheddar Rice Thins . I originally bought my first box for a party with friends. They didn't last long as they are AMAZING. I just now finished off the box I purchased for Thanksgiving. They are reasonably priced and relatively easy to find. Way to go Nabisco!
My "like it" item are the WOW Lemon Burst cookies. I picked up these cookies at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago. They come in a variety of flavors that include chocolate chip, peanut butter, ginger molasses and snickerdoodle. I only purchased the lemon burst flavor, as the other flavors of cookies are often available from lots of other companies.
I was looking for something unique.
When I first opened the package, I stuck my nose in the bag to take a deep whiff.
It smelled like fresh lemon curd, a lemon smell so fresh that it automatically made me think of homemade lemon bars. Taking the first cookie in my hand, they were so soft, like they just came out of the oven.
I took a bite, and was a bit shocked that the cookie did not have as strong of a lemon flavor as the scent would suggest. It tasted like a fresh, soft, slightly underdone sugar cookie.
All in all it was not awful, and I'm honestly still eating one every day or so for a small sweet snack, but I don't know if I would buy them again. Maybe. It does make me curious what the other cookies taste like though. This company also makes large individual cookies, cookie dough, cake mixes. and chocolate brownies.
My "leave it" is the Full Circle Organic Gluten Free Conchiglie pasta. I purchased this shell shaped pasta from my local Spartan store. I cooked it up to have with salmon and Alfredo sauce the other night, and the shells stuck inside each other and they started to fall apart. While they were not me favorite, my husband enjoyed them quite a bit.
I will have two more posts coming soon, as SuperSeedz sent me their products to review. Plus, Canyon Bakehouse will be sending some of their products, & 1 lucky winner will win a package of their items!
Are there some items you've recently purchased that you think I would love? Please leave a comment below!
